School aged student looking to run and have fun with friends? Adult new to running and looking for a supportive environment to get into the sport? Join us! Already fast and want to be challenged and get even faster? This is right up your alley!
Note that, new this year, our programming is starting at grade 3 and older.
Also new this year, we are introducing a Competitive Program (3x/week) as well as our Development Program (2x/week).
Competitive:
Born 2013 and earlier, including adults
All abilities welcome, but focussed on motivated athletes looking to prepare to race
Groups will be formed based on distance focus
Development:
Two groups:
Born 2017 and earlier
Adults
Racing still an option of course, but not the primary focus
Athletes looking to build towards the "Competitive” group
Practices will take place rain or shine.
Location and Times
Our “home base” will be Harbourview Park in Collingwood. We will mix it up with some “field trips” to great track and trail locations around Collingwood throughout the season.

Weekly in-person training program, as well as general structure for off-nights

Off-nights strength program with a focus on injury prevention
Competitive program also includes a “Collingwood Runners” tracksuit

Athletics Ontario registration (between $10 and $30 depending on competitive or non-competitive membership)
Race fees in which you decide to compete
Financial Assistance
Our running club is committed to making sport accessible to everyone. We offer financial assistance to individuals and families who may need support with membership fees. If cost is a concern, please reach out to us in confidence.
Spring Session
Development Program - $100
2x/week for 8 weeks
Wednesdays @ 6:00-7:15pm, Saturdays @ 9:00-10:15am
May 4 - June 27
Group 1: Born 2014-2018 (8 weeks)
Group 2: Adults
While maintaining running base, our spring program will offer a focus on track distance events. This program is focussed on fun and fitness, with races being optional.
Includes:
“Collingwood Runners” racing singlet.
Competitive Program - $250
3x/week for 12 weeks
Mondays @ 6:00-7:30pm, Wednesdays @ 6:00-7:15pm, Saturdays @ 9:00-10:15am
April 20 - Early July (end of AO Spring Track season) (12 weeks)
Born 2013 and earlier
The focus of this group will be training for the Athletics Ontario Track racing season. While there is no “try-out” for this group, there will be an expectation of athletes being motivated to work hard while having fun. Athletes will be divided into sub-groups when appropriate based on distance goals.
