we run this town

Welcome to Our Community

We are a Collingwood based running team launching in the Spring of 2024.

Our goal is to create an inclusive and fun community of runners of all ages and abilities, with a focus on youth programming. Guided by our group of lifelong runners and passionate coaches, we will focus on teaching young runners the fundamentals while fostering a love of the sport.

As interest grows, we plan to build a competitive component of the team that will represent Collingwood at races locally and around Ontario.

Join us and be part of a supportive community that celebrates diversity and passion for running. Embrace the journey and unleash your potential. We're here to help you grow and thrive as a runner.

Meet the Team

  • Brock Tadashore

A lifelong athlete, Brock has seen running become a major part of his life through his adult years. He is excited to pass on his passion for the fitness, competition, goal setting and, most importantly, camaraderie he has found through running to the Collingwood community. Brock enjoys the challenge of various running distances whether it be on the road or in the trails.

  • Caitlin Foisy - Head Coach

For as long as she can remember, Caitlin has been a runner. Running throughout elementary school and high school, varsity cross country and track at Queens University, Caitlin continues to run all distances from 800m to ultra distances on the trails. She has coached everything from alpine skiing to mountain biking and running. After having 3 children, she decided to pursue her passion in coaching with the Newmarket Huskies while competing as a masters athlete. Caitlin is excited to be bringing a competitive club to Collingwood and inspiring the next generation to have a life-long, wholistic approach to running.

  • Collin Wallace

Currently a high school guidance Counsellor at CCI, Collin appreciates the value of watching youth thrive in their athletic pursuits through coaching various sports at school and in the community over the last 15 years. Having been a member of a running club in his youth, Collin wants to provide the same positive opportunities that he had to the next generation.

  • James Orr

James started running in middle school, but didn’t find a true passion for it until after University. He has since run numerous marathons and trail races, and more recently has been discovering the world of ultras and track distances. James’ favourite place to run in the Collingwood area is at Kolapore Uplands. He is passionate about the club’s potential to develop local youth athletes from the inspiring running community we have in Collingwood.

  • Shelby Thomson

Shelby enjoys an array of sports including swimming, squash, dance, rugby, rowing, and cross country skiing. But she’s always had a special interest in running. She has experience coaching young dancers, nordic skiers, and kids at multi-sport camps. She enjoys learning about the anatomy and physicality behind running efficiently. Running happy and working hard is Shelby’s cup of tea!

  • Scott Ford

Scott has had a passion for running since middle school in cross-country and track disciplines through high school, and 10k through to ultra-marathon distances as an adult. Equally passionate about coaching, he thrives passing on his love of the sport to others.

  • Ryan Baulke

Growing up in Collingwood, Ryan developed a passion for running on the cross country teams at Cameron Street Public School and CCI. He enjoys both the competitive and social aspects of running, and can most often be found shuttling his young kids around town in their jogging stroller.

  • Jordan Cascagnette

Running was an integral part of Jordan's training as a Junior and U23 athlete, and he quickly fell in love with the competitive side of the sport while in University. His passion for athlete development, sport psychology, and running economy continue to serve him well as both an athlete and coach.
